"Acupuncture has been a life saver for me. When I first started acupuncture, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was depressed and not controlling my own life and feelings. Acupuncture and Lisa's special touch has given me back my life. When people ask how are you, I can honestly say I am good.

Acupuncture will always be a part of my life. Thank you Lisa and the RiverWest staff for all that you have done for me, you have my eternal gratitude."

Meet the RiverWest Acupuncture Team

A place of calm and healing

RiverWest Acupuncture founder Lisa Francolini L.Ac. opened her practice in 1995, with a vision to offer health a care alternative where healing would be transformative. With more than 25 years in the health field, she wanted to enlarge upon ancient healing traditions to meet modern needs.

Lisa C. Francolini, L.Ac

Lisa received her advanced degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She is board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed to practice by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Providence College.

Lisa has been an officer in the Oregon Acupuncture Association and most recently chaired the committee that created a new and unified state-wide organization for acupuncturists in Oregon, the OAAOM. She has served as an officer of the Board of Trustees of the Oriental College of Oriental Medicine for the past 13 years.

The concept of Relational Accupuncture  was created and developed by Lisa in 2006 and implemented in 2007.

Laura A. Goff, L.Ac

Laura is the newest member of the RiverWest team. She is a licensed acupuncturist and a board-certified Chinese Herbologist, having earned her Master’s degree at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She approaches her acupuncture practice with humor, compassion, creative energy, and the enthusiasm of a lifelong student of Chinese Medicine. Laura actively listens to her patients’ bodies and stories and weaves together treatments that facilitate her patients’ healing transformations. Laura incorporates several acupuncture styles into her practice including gentle Japanese needling and abdominal palpation, Five Element emphasis on emotional and spiritual aspects of healing, and Tan and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques for treating physical ailments. Laura is also a certified 1000 Hands Buddha Qi Gong teacher and incorporates qi gong healing methods into her practice. Before coming to acupuncture, she completed her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Urban Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and worked as a graphic designer and an arts administrator. While the progression from design to acupuncture was unlikely, it has honed her creativity and problem solving skills. In addition to practicing acupuncture, Laura is a mom and a yoga and hiking enthusiast.
